TAG Day is this Saturday, September 16th. We still NEED parents who have large vehicles to drive and/or parents who can chaperone (walk neighborhood route). Please help out by donating 4 hours to the band on Saturday morning. The band has 190+ members this year and they need our help to continue to grow and thrive. The weather forecast is only showing a chance of rain on the 16th. We are crossing fingers, however if the weather doesn’t cooperate for Saturday, we have scheduled a makeup day the following weekend on Sept 23rd. We will send out additional information when/if the date must be pushed back.

THIS WEEK’S GAME SCHEDULE
Our first home game is this Saturday, September 16 at Bailey Field. The schedule is below. It will be a long day for our students-but we know they are up to it! This week’s Feed the Band meal is from Jason’s Deli. If you did not order a meal your student should bring something to eat. Please do not have your student rely on the stadium concession stand for dinner. They are usually not up and running when we break for dinner and students are not given the opportunity to visit concessions until the third quarter. The lines can be long and they may not get served before it is time to report back to the stands.
Director’s Note: We are all proud of our kids and want to share their accomplishments. However, please do not post any video recordings of the show to social media at this time. We must make sure we comply with copyright regulations and want the show to be polished before distribution. GHBPA Historians will release footage which may be shared. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

8:00am Students arrive at Grafton and dress into uniform
8:15am Meeting and get into groups
8:30am Load cars
8:45am Depart Grafton for neighborhoods
9:00am TAG DAY
12:00pm Arrive back at Grafton for ICE CREAM!
12:30pm Students go home/rest
3:00pm Students arrive and start loading trailer
3:15pm Load Buses
3:30pm Roll Call on buses
3:45pm Depart for Bailey Field
4:00pm Arrive at Bailey Field
4:15pm Rehearsal at Bailey Field
5:45pm End rehearsal/dinner
6:20pm Dress into uniform
6:30pm Warm up for pre-game
8:00pm Halftime (approximate time)
10:00pm Arrival @ GHS
- Wear your band T-shirt, black shoes, black socks before you get on the bus
- We will eat dinner at Bailey. If you ordered dinner through the band parents, the dinner provided is from JASON’S DELI. Those that did not order dinner should bring their own.
- Pick up ALL trash before you leave the buses and in the stands prior to leaving the game.
- Do not take off your uniform until a director tells you it is ok.
- Be quiet when roll is being taken on the bus.
- Make sure that you take care of your instrument and equipment for the show.
- Get your instrument, uniform, hat and hat box when we load
- Take your uniform bag and hat box with you to Bailey.
If you would like to place a scrip order this month, please submit paper order forms with payment (GHBPA) by Tuesday, September 12th. Gift cards will be ready for delivery to you the following week. Remember, you pay face value, the band purchases them at a discount, and the difference is the rebate that comes directly back to our band program. Questions? Band Camp Wrap-up
I want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who selflessly gave their time to make Band Camp a rousing success. In all, 38 volunteers participated with over 302 hours, pouring over 170 gallons of Gatorade and untold amounts of water into thousands of little cups. A huge, heartfelt thanks to all of our volunteers.
We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.
